It is the only Typography Museum operating in Greece, in the Industrial Park of Souda in Chania. Since 2012 it is a member of the Association of European Printing Museums and was awarded as "European Museum of the Year Award 2016".

It started as a private collection of the founder of the newspaper "Haniotika Nea", Yannis Garedakis and his wife Helen. The museum was inaugurated in 2005 and the collection is continuously developed to date. In 1,200 sq.m. area that it covers, houses the history of typography with exhibits ranging from the Middle Ages until today.

The collection consists of original small and large printing presses, paper cutting machines, typesetting benches, movable wooden and metal types, types of paper, lithographs, linotype machine, precious books, typewriters, rare editions, maps, stamps, currency, etc. .

Through the interactive tour guests learn the history and development of the typography and have the opportunity to print on the old presses.
